Why oh why is the word ‘family’ so toxic in political campaigns. Whenever Elbows mentioned the word in the sense of ‘strengthening the family’ - he’d get jeered at. And even now that he’s helping pull together a ‘Family’ manifesto’, he gets snidely emails.
