A not so fortunate change of plan

We were supposed to be catching a boat this morning for an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay. Unfortunately a typhoon has developed off the coast of Vietnam so the boats are not allowed to go out. We are currently in a hotel waiting to hear if we will be able to go on a day trip around the bay tomorrow instead.

While we wait to hear, our guide took us to the waterfront so we could at least see the bay and the amazing limestone karsts for which it is famous in case we can't go tomorrow.
