Day 289/17. Apocalypse Today....?

VERY weird weather today. At lunchtime the cloud thickend and the skies darkened...but not from rain clouds. The light from the hazy sun took on an eery orange tint and a Max Max feel. So dark all the lights came on.
This effect lasted for 2 hours or so, and was supposedly due to Saharan sand in the upper atmosphere being pulled into the UK skies by Hurricane Ophelia....
But if it was the first of the three horsemen of the apocalypse, would our leaders tell us?
