Circles in the sand
MrM's son, Angus, arrived on the train this morning to stay for a few days, with the intention of photographing castles. He was in Bamburgh this afternoon, and when we drove over to pick him up as the light was fading, there were circles in the sand. Angus and his tripod can be seen in the distance.
It's been a day of very weird weather! MrM phoned me from Wooler at midday, insisting that I should hurry outside to take photos of the red sun. Sun? I did go outside to check, but in Berwick the sun never succeeded in breaking through a layer of oppressively low, thick cloud. Strange yellowy cloud, at that. By 2.00pm, the sky was as dark as night - and the street lights came on (extra). Very weird, and not altogether pleasant. But when I left the office, just before 2.30pm, the sky was a little brighter and the fog slowly lifted...
