Guelder Rose.

There is a lot of this shrub growing in the countryside around the village, though this specimen is self-sown (presumably using the root through a small bird’s indigestion system) in our private jungle.
 
Although I know this plant well, with its sycamorish leaves, oddly shaped white flowers and bright red berries, I can never remember what it is called and, once again, Herself was not able to assist. The cavalry arrived in the form of Sis who gave me two possible botanical names and it turns out to be a Viburnum which has the common name of guelder rose.
 
While this one was Blipped over a week ago in Scotland, Sis has one with the same colouring here at Didcot in southern England.
