Halloween compost
Um, yeah, it's amazing what you find in the compost heap!
I had a meeting in the morning. Tried to offload some apples. The storm didn't happen here, but the red sky was very peculiar. Sadly I did not snap it, too busy.
Gave my students some Bramley apples which they liked, because not all.of them had had lunch. There are a lot of lads in my class, and I think they are subtly taking the Mick out of me, but not in a bad way. It's odd being an older woman. Age sort of crept up on me.
Then I came home and did more work. And made beetroot and apple soup, and apple almond pudding. We don't have to eat all the Bramleys at once, because they are stored, but I want to minimise the chance of rot.
Just remembered: my brother in Greece once had a velour leisure suit in a colour which translated as Rotten Apple!
