Meet Landon

Only one possible blip today. Meet Landon Arthur Noakes, born 5.17pm on 15th October in San Marcos, California (1.17am on 16th October in UK). First child of Chris and De’Shaun. A cousin for Miya and a second grandchild for us. Congratulations to you both.

He made his entrance by c-section after a long and challenging labour; we’d been on tenterhooks all weekend as he kept delaying his appearance. Very challenging for his mum over a long period, she did so well and what a beautiful outcome.

He’s in intensive care as a precaution owing to fluid on the lungs, but is making great progress and has been united with his mum which made a lovely scene.

Landon joins a long line of males in our family, I’ve gone back to his great, great, great, great, grandfather Richard who was born in 1814. And I’m sure there are more to find.

So, welcome Landon, you’ve moved from the sons of the soil to an American citizen from California. Some journey and what a journey in front of you.
