Final day

Spent our final day of our wee road trip by the pool and then hired some bikes to go for coffee in Nice.

The Promenade des Anglais is truly beautiful. Full of life from all corners of the globe. It is a place where folk go to excersie, to stroll, to sun bath and to generally just watch the world go by. I was amazed to see that the events of just over a year ago have not managed to change this beautiful part of the world. The only evidence I could see that things had changed were that bollards had been erected along the full length of the 2 km walkway which hasn't detracted from it's beauty. However there was a very strong presence of army fully armed patrolling the area. This was a comfort but it also made me slightly uncomfortable as I am not used to being beside such weaponary. 

We flew back from glorious sun into Edinburgh which was quite a few degrees colder and very much wetter.
