You've got a friend

5,993 hoverfly species to go!

I had already abandoned hope of catching any new species with my camera before next year, but as I have nowadays a habit to peek into every flower that I pass (luckily not so many any more), I managed to get still one more on a remaining rose :-) The pollen and droplets came as an added bonus.

Unfortunately I could not get any closer as otherwise my camera shut out the light from inside the flower.

As I regard myself as their friend, the title song came up immediately into my mind, and hummed it all the way home.
