Walking into the rainbow
The sun appeared about half an hour before it set behind Bute today - and this was the result, as drifting clouds of drizzle wafted round the surrounding hills. We walked towards it, stopping every so often to take yet another photo of its increasing intensity and splendour. I've chosen this one simply because it holds the entire rainbow, which had started as a small strip at the left of the arc, then produced a bright blob over the sea to the right before the whole things completed itself overhead.
Magic!
In contrast, one of my extra photos shows the great bank of seaweed piled on the Toward shore by the remnants of Storm Ophelia.
