Bumps in the Road

For day four of our Adriatic holiday we decided to head south to Montenegro. We started in the idyllic fishing town of Persat and then drove onto the walled town of Kotor, where we lost ourselves amongst the jumbled backstreets, before splashing in the sea at Budva's Jaz Beach.

Although out of season, the kids loved playing in the sea. Now that they're both having swimming lessons, they're far more confident in the water.

As we queued to cross the border back into Croatia, the little lady declared that she needed to 'go'. The poor lady had complained of stomach pains all day and it wasn't until we were stuck in a traffic jam that she sought relief.

Thankfully we head dressed her in a nappy for the journey home so we were fairly confident that she'd be ok. It wasn't until we handed over our passports that we realised her business was too large to handle. And so was born her new nickname, and a subsequent deep corner of the car, with just a plastic bag and four wipes. Yes, not pretty. But as least she's feeling better now.

the journey home that she stayed to feel better.
