The Birks

A bit windy this morning (by which I mean the weather!) and so decided to do the awful task of clearing out the big food cupboard, not something I usually relish. Incredible what you find lurking in these places. Prize for the oldest item of food was a tin of prunes whose use by date was 2005! Also found 5 - yes, 5! - packets of macaroni and 3 packets of marzipan (that'll come in handy in a couple of months.
Come lunchtime I was feeling pretty brassed off that my annual leave was being spent cleaning cupboards and so I hit the road and headed up to Aberfeldy to do a walk which I've not been to before - The Birks of Aberfeldy, which is written about in a poem by Rabbie Burns. Really lovely walk and quite dramatic waterfalls. Finished it off nicely with a trip to The Watermill for tea and cake.
Any guesses what I cooked for tea tonight..?
