Rescue plane

Our last day on holiday.

We thought we might go on a pedalo this morning but they were not really suitable for littles so we got CyclopsJnr this inflatable for a last trip to the beach. He was reluctant to use it in the water at first, but eventually was lured into a game of rescue planes and loved it.

We took late checkout, so we could have lunch and CyclopsJnr could nap then our taxi came about 3pm.

I'm pleased to say our journey home was uneventful, in fact the time elapsed door to door was the same as the time spent at Edinburgh airport delayed on the way out.

CyclopsJnr was no trouble at all in the airport or on the flight. He happily watched Monsters Inc for much of the flight so we grown ups even got to read our kindles. Happily yesterday's ex-hurricane was done with and it was a smooth flight. Home about 9pm.

We've been very happy with our holiday, it totally met our needs and expectations.

It has absolutely flown by.

And it has been great to be able to wing it much more with CyclopsJnr now he is a bigger boy who can be more actively involved, has a longer attention span, and needs less stuff. He had a few strops during the holiday, but on the whole was great company.
