Edinburgh in Blue
Gosh, what a lot of back-blipping I've got to do. Starting with my blip from Doors Open Day way back on 23 September.
I've been a bit down due to the events of the last few weeks, with much enforced staying indoors which doesn't suit me one bit.
However, today everyone in the family was otherwise engaged so I took the opportunity for a walk along from home to our cottage to welcome our guests, then shinned up through the garden to the Burns Monument on Regent Road which was open and welcoming visitors with songs and recitations. A most enjoyable half-hour or so listening to 'To a Louse', a letter to Burns from Robert Aiken and some Scottish songs.
It was so lovely being out that I decided to keep going to the top of Calton Hill to take in the views and survey the scene.
