Violets are not as blue as the ones in front of the house.

I chose the new shoot of my old Hortensia and leave the others in the compost heap. I might use them in the front alongside the path, but have a lot of sand to deal with, first. The big bag is emptied outside the yard and filled again inside. My arms have had enough lifting for the day. However, part of the sand can be used underneath the bricks a neighbour gave to us when he moved houses and that'll make a nice terrace. More moving sand and lifting stones.
