Green and pleasant land

This is taken on the A537 Buxton to Macclesfield road, one of the most dangerous roads in Britain and a place I would normally call the 'green unpleasant land'. This is due to the bleakness of the countryside in winter and general treacherousness.

Over the last few years I've been approaching Macclesfield by quicker safer routes, but today, with time I ventured on the old one.

As a young 'Biker's Moll' I used to ride pillion along this road. It was great fun!
