Thornton Force North Yorkshire

Today we did the Ingleton Waterfalls Walk which I have never done even when I lived at Keighley in the 1990s.
It was wonderful - waterfall after waterfall - this one was one of the most spectacular which Turner sketched in the 1800s. The route took us about 4 hours to do 4 and1/2 miles but it was very uppy downy and now Im aching!!
We came up North yesterday and are staying in Clapham where Alan Bennett's friend Ann used to run a unique Bohemian cafe - I remember going in there and it was like being in her front room with Alan Bennett sitting reading the paper by the fire. We have found an excellent B and B so that's adding to the fun!
So glad I have stopped working completely - with Paul at home too it's opened up a new life for us.
