Tribute To Air Berlin

A glorious day so after breakfast with the hooded crows off to TXL to look at their travel shops and check on Air Berlin. The sun was so warm yet at times we had a misty fog. Fun to take shots but these have to be my blip .Next week 27th October Air Berlin ceases flying . Now,Lufthansa take the majority of the aircraft and remove the livery . Others will be sold to bidders .and suffer the same fate .Air Berlin was a superb airline .It had a CEO  early this year before all went really bad .In his contract he wanted and got a clause which would entitle him to massive payout should anything happen to the airline . Surprise , surprise it did .Another camera fan , former ATC staff told me this history. Have been never had a bad experience with Air Berlin. So here is my tribute to a very good airline. Lufthansa, notorious for pricey tickets, now have the monopoly they wanted and one person is extremely wealthy . Imagine if any of us were to make such demands on going for a position .It is utterly   ridiculous  Have added this latest link .Read what a CEO gets and gets away with  .
