barbara...

...was knackered! she had been clearing and weeding the same patch of garden for the past 5 hours and she wasn't doing anymore!...plus she had a dinner date with her nephew that she had to rush off to :-) barbara is a really great lady that i volunteer with. she is amazingly knowledgeable (and modest) about most things and really cultured - i just love hearing about what activity she is up to next! she is also really encouraging about my pursuit of a life in horticulture and today brought some of her old garden magazines for me simply saying that she was glad that they were going to some good use. thanks barbara, you are brilliant :-)
today was a mixed day as i shed a tear learning that my mate's granddad who i have known since i was tiny has lung cancer :-( it makes me feel so sad as he is such a lovely man even if for most of my life i was known to him as leanne!! we still laugh about it now! life feels so cruel somedays :-(
