Bridled Titmouse
I am all a-twitter! This is the first Bridled titmouse I've gotten. The weird thing about it is that I have rarely seen them in Madera Canyon, yet today there were oodles of them. I liked this shot because of the composition. That's why I didn't crop it tighter. I think it might be the best bird photo I've ever taken. Try this view.
Primarily a Mexican species, its range reaches the United States only in the southern mountains of Arizona and New Mexico. That's why it's extra special to me.
I'm cooking dinner for mom tonight: meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn and gravy. I told her not to get used to it. Frankly, I'm not much of a cook. If it hasn't gone into the microwave or the toaster oven there's very little chance I've eaten it.
