The Library

I took this polaroid today in the library at work. I write for a magazine, and in this little library is every issue of said magazine that's been printed since 1961. Every issue. It's amazing. It smells musty and you have to be very careful with the oldest copies, but it's positively delightful to sit so near a room filled to near-capacity with the history of the subject of which we write. Everything I need to write a historical piece is at my fingertips. Everything.

Anyway, it's a crappy photo, but I'm trying out the polaroid and this is the only pola I took today - the first two I took last night, so they wouldn't count for this purpose. I'm having fun with this new camera, but wow, is that film ever expensive (and no longer being made, which is so, so sad). I will be honest. I was hoping that this photo would look a bit cooler than it does. Oh well. More tries later. Must scoop up more film wherever and whenever possible before there simply is no more! A friend today accused me of being strung out on polaroid. Might be true. xo
