Frosty Morning

The first really frosty night/morning we've had this year, with the temperature going down to around -3°C. The ground turned very white and all the water butts had a 1 cm thick coating of ice. The black metal roof here turned white until the bright sun reached it and quickly melted off the frost.
After a day of stillness and bright sun we could see exactly where the sun no longer shines because all those areas were still white this evening.
Our health continues to improve so today we worked an hour or so in the garden and we even changed one of the cars over to the studded winter tyres. We also ate more than we have for the last few days although the appetite seems slow to return.
Waking up to a white world, glistening slightly in the early morning sunlight, is a wonderful way to start the day!
