Day five in the colors this week. My sensor needs cleaning.

Today's color is appropriate. My stepgrandmother died today. She and my grandpa were together for 49 years. She had Alzheimer's disease and was in a nursing home the last three years.

Yesterday, my cousin told me that Mary had taken a turn and that the people at the hospice didn't expect her to live through the day. She made it another 24 hours and died at 2:50 p.m. today, shortly after I took this photo.

She was my grandpa's second wife. He was so in love with her, and my heart aches for him. She loved frogs and going on long walks.
