Dashing around the North Norfolk coast

During a holiday week there comes a point when the days left are no longer matching the number things you want to do and panic sets in !

Today we had a bit of a dash about.
Holkham this morning parking at Lady Anne drive and visiting the nature reserve and beach. Never seen as many dragonflies for years and some nice butterflies including Small Copper.

This afternoon a drive in the opposite direction to Morston and Blakeney very quiet villages today and very interesting to see them at low tide with all the boats tied up.

A little spoilt for choice for a photo but the last minute dash to Cley brought a few special moments. At the beach the fishermen were fishing and as we were watching the waves some young gannets were trying to catch their dinner - many more splashes than fish it would seem.

Birdwatching highlight you might think but a short walk towards the nature reserve and first sight for me of Snow Buntings - very cute.

As the sun went down we headed away but not before taking this one over the marsh to the famous Windmill at Cley.
