Winter Colours Walk at Kingston Lacy

Gloriously unexpected sunny day.  Not too strong on winter colours as most had fallen.  Extra is the best I could do in this regard and second extra is the entrance hall to the house.   
The NT has a special installation named Exile referring to William John Bankes who fled the country in 1841 when he was convicted for indecent behaviour. The ropes hang in the entrance hall to the house and mark the number of men hanged during the period of time when homosexuality in this country was a criminal offence and the knots indicate their ages.  The youngest was just 17 and the oldest in his 70's.
