Some Pacific Wind
My Dear Princess and Fellows,
Ghuznee Street reminds me a little bit of Leith Walk. It walks that line between "faintly grungy" and "kind of hip". It's peppered with bits of artwork and funky bars and restaurants. Also Leeds Street runs off it, which is home to what looked like an amazing artisan bakery and The Chocolate Factory.
I didn't go in, but with a name like that, you know I will be stopping by at some point.
I purposefully took my time strolling around town again today. It would be more fun exploring with Er Indoors, but she had work to do so I saw this more as reconnaissance work. I'll definitely be taking her to Leeds Street at some point.
Other than exploring, today has been wonderfully idle. I continue to be obsessed by The Mary Tyler Moore show, and we watched more episodes of that, alongside some other classics like "Quincy M.E." and "M*A*S*H". Then there was a nap and LOTS of flossing, spitting, rinsing.
But I am on the mend. I feel it.
There's a song that has been stuck in my head all day. I think it is because this is a city to be shared. And as I wandered around looking at things that I know would appeal to you, I found myself mentally discussing them with you in my head. And the next thing I knew I was humming this.
