European Spindle

Euonymus europaeus to give it it's correct botanical name. I am always impressed with Tuscon Jim's stunning pictures of desert cactus and succulents. Sadly they are a rare commodity here in Lancashire but there is this fantastic Spindle tree in our office garden that has taken on it's autumn colours and pink fruiting seed pods. Best not tell our Health and Safety man or he''ll be out there with spade and axe and have it cordoned off as the fruit and seed are poisonous and can give you liver and kidney failure even death if you eat a bucket full.
