Floating Fall
Dear Diary,
The leaves are falling fast and furiously the last couple of days. With a gentle breeze to encourage them, they have no problem letting go. Because the pond's water level is down a bit, the grass is exposed and added to the autumn medley along the shore.
Sometimes I think that nature provides us with the most beautiful of compositions. The contrast of shapes, colors and lines transfixed me. Among the seemingly chaotic occurrences of fall, the dislocating leaves and transforming color, there is a subtle underlying harmony to it all. To sit by the shore on a beautiful warm day in October and watch the leaves kiss the water is pretty close to heaven for me.
