Majestic

We had booked ourselves on a "Fungi Foray" at Tatton Park today. Now I know this isn't fungi, but there are two large herds of deer at the park - red and fallow deer. As we were walking round looking for different species of fungus, we encountered this beautiful beast.

In 3 hours we had discovered 60 different types of fungus! Our guide and fungi expert was a complete encyclopedia of their names in Latin.  And he was a real fan of punk music too. Just amazing. It was a shame I really didn't get chance to photograph many. 

Tatton Park is only 40 minutes away from where we live. But it took us 2 hours to get home. This was due to problems on the M6, and we ended up driving west via Nantwich to avoid being stuck in serious traffic jams.
