Career ladder, rung 1.
I was recently "headhunted" for what I considered to be a ridiculously high-position job for which I had practically no experience (although they had seen my CV and apparently thought I did have enough experience, so who am I to argue...). Never one to turn down an opportunity, I would have taken them up on it but it required a move to Japan, which I LOVE the idea of, but for various reasons I can't move there at the moment.
So I decided to try going in at a lower level, more appropriate to my experience, and where I can work from home. I had to take a test and got my feedback today, which was excellent, and I was accepted :) It's a job I've wanted to do since I discovered its existence about a year and a half ago. I feel like I'm made for it, for once I'm confident in my abilities, and I really feel like I've found my niche. (It's still not my calling... that will take a bit more work...)
