Taking It Slowly

29 Degrees today.  No rush.

We continued exploring the Acropolis area today, right after breakfast, which was slightly earlier than yesterday because we were awakened by the sound of drilling and hammering.  Apparently, the house at the corner of 'our' street is undergoing some renovations.

Thanks to the 'unified' ticket yesterday, we were able to explore other open-air exhibits -- the Roman Agora, Hadrian's Library (also in ruins), and the Ancient Agora which also included the Stoa, a building that used to function as a meet-and-greet point in ancient times, and the Temple of Hephaestos, which resembles the Parthenon.  By 16.00, I was very hungry and hubby was tired, so we walked back down the Adrianou Road and sat down at our favourite restaurant, where we had a very early dinner.  Afterwards, back to the Airbnb, where I took only enough time to empty my memory card into my laptop before conking out in bed for a couple of hours.  Hubby did the same on the couch.  We woke up more or less at the same time.  Hubby watched some TV while I set to work on today's photographs.

The shot is of one of the many turtles in the Acropolis area, an animal we didn't expect to see there.  The extras might give you an idea of other things we saw today.  It has been another really wonderful day and I can't think of anything at the moment that might dispute that.
