Destination Hogwarts

Playing one of Al's birthday board games - Destination Hogwarts. Al is looking fed up because he thought he had lost the game. As he didn't reach any of his destinations and did not collect any house points, only losing them, it was a fair assumption...

However, Betsy counted up the house points at the end and pronounced him the winner. Not sure if this is sisterly generosity or faulty Maths but suspect the latter is more likely.

We played with lots of his new things after school, and watched an episode of his The Justice League DVD which was a big success. He loves old cartoons and has a large collection; Hong Kong Phoey, Stop the Pidgeon, Wacky Races, Dastardly and Muttley, Top Cat, Spider-Man.

I bought him something called a Wonderwand or something like that, which is a sword that makes foil shapes float in the air via static electricity. I was really quite excited about it but it didn't even vaguely work! I was most disappointed. It was from The Entertainer and they had a huge dust-covered stack of them all reduced to £5 and now I know why!

I love buying presents!
