Shining Lives #Newlanark

Usual Saturday turned into something different. A month or so ago my wife had spotted a notice about an event at New Lanark. And it was free too.

This weekend - the display is on tomorrow evening too - the Mill an village is being lit up with projections on the buildings showing the lives of those who used to live and work in the model settlement which sought to enhance the environment of the workers and their families. There is a recital of the views of one worker over the decades.

What I’d not anticipated was the lighting of the trees and railings to complement the shifting lighting of the buildings. An enjoyable event with adults and children of all ages - and dogs with illuminated collars.

And the rain held off too!
