New beginnings

Flags are out for the new students.

I was walking behind two of them at lunchtime, earwigging:

"My life is really awesome! How's yours?"
"My life is awesome too. And I'm having an awesome day!"

And me, the old curmudgeon behind, is thinking "Lectures start on Thursday. Let's see how awesome life is then!" I guess I'm being a bit unfair - it's just that I've now seen over twenty start-of-academic-year experiences but each generation needs its first.
