Deliberate hole in my knitting!

Master Bug Pugglesworth's winter coat is growing apace. I've checked measurements with my son and daughter-in-law and have adapted the pattern to make a hole for the lead to be attached to the pup's harness. Thought wearing it over his harness would be more practical and less itchy. Soon found it makes a handy thumbhole as I continue knitting! (Mr PP helped with this photo.)

The frame is holly that I photographed during our walk today. The hedges have been cut back again, but the holly leaves are shining through. After a showery morning, we've had a sunny afternoon. And as it is now turning grey again ... I'd better fetch the latest washing in quickly!
