Shades

In a former life, when I was riding to work each morning, I watched the old York Waterworks treatment station by Lendal Bridge being transformed.

They were creating a spin-off from the Michelin-starred, Star Inn at Harome in North Yorkshire - "The Star Inn The City".

We've been once or twice before but yesterday was a lovely breakfast treat from daughter #2, R, and husband, S.

The light coming into the superb modern-build atrium is glorious. The chinzy old-fashioned light-shades are completely out of kilter and, sorry, but I won't be showing you them.
