Another light for the world

Our great nephew, Alfie (held here by his mother, Lizzie) was baptised today at St Mary's, Chessington by a splendid priest. Apparently, God is like the kind of football supporter who doesn't just follow his (her?) team's results on a mobile or by watching games on TV, but travels the country/world to see every match; parenting and God-parenting is rather like that. Fortunately, most parents are not handicapped, as was the priest, by being an Aston Villa supporter.
