The immortal memory of Robert Burns

Last leg of our Scottish roadtrip today, from Troon to Dumfries. Unfortunately October is not the month to hope that everything Burns related is open, so in Dumfries we could only see the outside of the Burns House. We'll have to come back in Spring next year :-) Tomorrow it is back to the ferry ! But we did see  his mausoleum where there's a beautiful frieze of him as the ploughman poet and the muse above him. She's literally in the clouds in my capture due to the reflection in the glass I was capturing this through.  See how his mausoleum shines in that churchyard in the extra.

I think the headstone is sufficiently pink for Pinktober, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you want, please follow this link  and click on the pink button for free mammograms for those who can't afford them otherwise.

And in the hotel in Dumfries now I do have enough connection to comment on all AT121 entries and have a pick of 5 special entries. That wasn't very easy as there were 63 excellent entries, see them all here.

This coming Thursday the optional theme is 'movement', take that as literally or figuratively as you like. The tag will be AT122.

Here are the 5 picks of the week:
Trisharooni  for a great wet dandelion clock pattern
conventgirl  for making art out of mould
chrisphoto   for a very natural regular pattern
Xtoffdav       for a pattern right under his feet
Dollykgray    for seeing and capturing the golden pattern in the water

Thanks so much for your kind comments and stars for yesterday's Blip of Nannie in her cutty sark and for all the stars, comments and hearts while my commenting was even worse than usual while travelling.
