In our modern village, it is difficult to imagine that a settlement has been here for hundreds of years......
some of these Roman remains have been excavated ....probably when the foundations for this block of flats were being dug......
the archaeologists have ensured that they were preserved and displayed as part of the garden, and visible to members of the public
