stop the chop...

...and there are hearts and passions a-plenty to save 13 gorgeous lemon scented eucalypts part of an avenue of gums at the base of the hill road that climbs up to our' home in the forest'.
A new church is being built on land in the foothills at the base of the hill and the trees have been destined for the chop to provide an access road to the church.
Our Shire council spruikes (promotes) the 'home in the forest' moniker when it suits them and gives the go ahead to clear fell new developments when it also suits them...boooo!

Well done the eucalypt enthusiasts who have rallied and are taking the shire to task.
