Autumn rose

All my friends will agree that I'm no flower expert, but I was surprised to see this rose growing outside our back door today - I'm sure it had flowered in June. 

To keep the background soft yet maintain the depth of field through the flower, I shot on a medium aperture (f14) and did a focus stack of 25 images.

It's a bit of a "where's Wally" but can you spot the spider?

I think the flowers pretty sharp.
