Fröhlich Cows
Fröhlich is a word many associate with German Christmas but in fact it's used all year around. Means cheerful, joyous, merry, frolicking etc. A very positive word.
These young cows belong to the Family Fröhlich who live in the village and are one of the very few who let some of their animals out for the summer. Son Stefan was recently mentioned in one of my journals and a year or two back he was Bliped.
Complete with cow bells they make a lovely sight and sound. Their fields are alongside a track we often use for dog walking which is what was on the agenda this afternoon. They are always interested in the dogs, Flash keeps eyeing them up to make sure they behave, Luna takes to the other side and is quite happy not to get involved.
Well done the Fröhlichs for cheering us up on such an awful, cold, bland day.
