The terns of Penguin Island

Had a wonderful day on Penguin Island today. If you love bird photography it's a marvellous place to go, especially at this time of year.

We saw 4 kinds of terns, as well as lots of other birds - penguins, pelicans, gulls,  and a large lizard.

I saw two terns I hadn't seen before - fairy terns and bridled terns.

Clockwise: A bridled tern chasing off a gull, a fairy tern, bridled tern, Caspian tern with a fish, crested terns each with a gift for the other, and a bridled tern in flight. Couldn't choose, hence the collage!
