Night walks seem to be a key component of our family holidays.

The littlest has been asking for one since we got here. To be honest it's not that difficult to satisfy his craving from about October to April in Scotland as it doesn't have to be particularly late to feel like the walk is being taken in the dead of night.

Tonight after an early-ish tea (which included a bake-off type competitive pudding of banoffee pie inspired desserts made my lovely husband and our eldest while the restless of us played amongst the rock pools this morning), we donned our jackets, hats and head torches and went for a walk through the village and along the coast.
