Sweet Treats Of Winter

Like sweets, hanging from its branches, this yew tree tempts the birds to sample its treats.  Its been mild today so perhaps they will left until colder weather arrives. 

Another damp rather murky day, brightened by the autumn colours of the leaves on the trees.  The clocks go back this weekend  and there is a distinct change in the mood of the season.  The dull weather this August and September have left me feeling deprived of sunshine and not ready for winter.  Still, the winter can bring clear bright days so I shall look forward with a positive frame of mind.
