No. 16 Wood Street
I haven't contributed to my onestreet project of Wood Street for quite a while, in fact not since last February
This building holding Fat Face is number 16. In my earlier blip I mistakenly numbered Supercuts as 16, in fact that is 15a, previously Past Times. Supercuts was formerly in Bards Walk, the shopping mall across the road, until they were evicted, sorry, didn't have their lease renewed along with the rest of the businesses there excepting the art gallery which is clinging on whilst the mall is 'redeveloped'.
Anyway, number 16 is a timber framed with brick in-fill, Grade II listed building, built in the 16th century with alterations in the 19th and according to the 1891 census, home of the Freemans, Mr, Mrs and Master, plus their servant Edith, who ran an ironmonger's business.
