Peek a boo

This is a male chaffinch that likes to sit in my clematis that goes high up into the hedge. He sat there, well protected, in the sun with the female also in the bush but not visible, for quite a while. I think they must be a pair because I have seen them do this together quite often. I like to think that they are having a well earned rest after raising at least one brood of chicks.
