Generation game/Tomorrow's World

Missed yesterday, so here's one that I think works for both challenges.

For the uninitiated younger generation, the big thing at the bottom is one speaker from the olden days when we listened to radio in black and white.

For the uninitiated older generation, the small thing on the top is a smart phone - or camera, radio, video recorder, diary, address book, record collection repository and player, photograph album, game player, calculator, internet access point on which you can view television programmes and get in touch with friends on web forums and social networks as well as looking up any information you want.

No doubt someone will tell me some functions I've forgotten.

Oh yes, and you can make phone calls from it as well. And this is not the "latest generation" model either!

The frightening thing is that the thing at the bottom was considered "state of the art" a scant 30 years ago!
