Millbrook Gold: Leaves on the Boardwalk

There are some tips and tricks to make the most of the autumn foliage show. One of the most basic of these is to take your pictures during one of the day's two golden hours: around dawn and dusk.

Early morning is my favorite time for photography, and you can find me sneaking in a quick shoot here or there just about every day, when I am able. And so it was that this morning's travels took me to Millbrook Marsh before my work day began.

It had rained heavily overnight. Heavily enough to rip the covers off the gutters on our house roof and toss them down onto the deck. (Isn't it always something, when you have a house?)

The rain had also tossed leaves everywhere. I found myself down on the ground, as I often am, trying to get a good angle on things. So here is a closer look at a few of Millbrook's golden leaves, scattered all over the boardwalk.

For the soundtrack . . . here's a classic Led Zep tune, Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You. I'm including both a 1969 Led Zeppelin clip, as well as a video of Great White covering the same tune. The Great White version is, I have to admit, one of THE best Led Zep covers I've ever heard. (Second perhaps only to Heart - Heart might just win the Led Zep cover competition.)
