La Lucha Por la Libertad*

Not a Lucha Libre (the famous masked, Mexican wrestlers), but rather a slightly odd (though seemingly very at peace with himself) street protester.

The writing on his stomach roughly translates as, "we weren't vain, but who will remember how miserable our lives are now" and the long poem is a rambling & fairly incoherent rant about how the new president is less than likeable. My limited Spanish means I don't get the full meaning, but he is referred to as both, "The Grand Elector with the infallible finger" and "The son of a whore".

In fact, since the result of the elections has finally been resolved, there have been an increasing amount of protests on the streets, bitterly opposed to the new leadership of the country. These range from mass student protests, union backed strikes, the occasional spontaneous riot, right on down to the frankly bizarre, like above.
